Exploring the mysteries of Minsk

On a hot May morning, I’m standing on a busy corner on Minsk’s grandiose, Stalinist-style Independence Avenue. I stare at a poster on the wall of McDonald’s. It poetically reads in English: “Breakfast and Hockey Make You Feel Okay.”
