A former pigsty or an old dairy may not strike you as the sort of romantic boltholes to properly make up for a lacklustre lockdown St Valentine's Day, but they are two of the lovingly restored Landmark Trust properties offering an unforgettable escape for two. The trust is a charity set up in 1965 that rescues unusual and important buildings that would otherwise be lost - often restoring them from a perilous state - and then rents them for short stays in order to fund other projects.
