IN THE shadow of a lighthouse, couples sit side by side at restaurant tables, a bottle of rioja between them, while a few metres up the beach families balance on the rocks that separate white sand from coastal path and meditatively watch the sun go down. Some evenings there’s a gentle round of applause as the final golden arc melts into the land. But that’s as boisterous as it gets.
